As NatGeo said it!

This Illustration is inspired by National Geographic
editorial on the events happening in the Sky:

'The Red Planet will top the handle of the Star teapot
and the asteroid Hebe will make an appearance'

I also combined it with this week's Illustration Friday theme
Theater and with me, visiting Mars, of course :)

I Danced around the Trouble tree

This drawing is inspired by one song from the movie
What About Me / One Giant Leap Project.
I tried to depict the Trouble tree and as I was drawing
it turned out so that the Trouble tree doesn't really have roots,
it just goes back into itself...

So, no roots for trouble

There is Silence in Vacuum

This week Illustration Friday theme : Silence

It is a challenge to visualize  Silence. How do you draw silence?
I started thinking real hard how to depict silence and nothing came up. I even call up a friend to ask her how silence looks like :)
I couldn't quite figure it out until a picture of a feather floating in air came in my mind. Somewhere from the deep unknown the vacuum showed up in my mind but I wasn't  sure so had to google out what really happens with sound in vacuum - and yes, there is no sound in vacuum. There is just silence.
